Camping

We made it through Luke's first official camp out, well if you consider camping in a trailer camping. We had a great time, all the energy we put into packing, unpacking and cleaning all paid off. My parents bought a camp trailer and we broke it in at Silver Falls. We all enjoyed the many modern amenities that it offered, it scares me to think about camping in a tent again.
This is old 'Scar Face," camping was hard on Luke's face. Two tumbles out of unlatched doors and a "crazy face squeezer" encounter at the playground will do that to a boy.
Cousin Jacob came up and the boys had a great time. Jacob was a little luckier in the friend department, none of his friends made him bleed.

Luke was and still is afraid of any kind of pool. We have a little alligator pool in our backyard and he is acts like we are torturing his when we have him wade in an inch of water. We took him down to the creek and we were sure he wouldn't want anything to do with it.
"What is this, my little Luke taking a leisurely stroll in the water?"
Taking it all in
It didn't take long, he became quite the maniac. He learned from the best! I love this picture because Matt is showing Luke how to do some "manly" splashing, doesn't he look like he's doing some sort of ballet move?
"No son, you've got it all wrong, your hands should be a little closer like this."
We were so proud! The next week we tried to take him to a swimming pool and he hated every minute of it. Later the same day we took him to the river and he loved it. I don't get it?

Normal Belly
Matt puts him up to all these silly antics.
Jacob actually had a normal smile, to bad Luke is looking weird.
Luke still kissed me even though I hadn't showered in a few days.
Happy Sliding at the park

Thanks for the fun trip Grandma and Grandpa Sherwood!

Every time you post, I swear Luke looks like he has gotten another year older...time flies doesn't it? Hope to see you all soon.
