Wildlife Safari

Wildlife Safari is a fun-filled family destination where you can view over 500 animals in their natural habitat, roaming freely as they do in the wild! Visitors to the park drive through a 4.5 mile trek to see animals from Africa, Asia and the America’s. Matt always wanted to go, so now that Luke is getting older we thought he might actually look at the animals. The drive through portion everyone has to drive very slow, so kids are allowed to roam the car free. Luke thought it was so fun to be out of his car seat.

I had a lot of fun taking pictures of all the animals. I really wish I had a zoom lens, there were many animals that I couldn't get pictures of because they were too far away. I almost peed my pants taking this picture of this ostrich. In some areas, we are allowed to have our windows down, he came right up to me and I was screaming as a took this picture.

The train Jacob and I rode to get a good look at the lions, notice I didn't get any pictures. It was pretty much just a train ride.

Love or hate swimming??

During our trip to Roseburg, we swam twice at the pool and went to the river once. Luke wasn't too sure what to think of the deep water. In an unfamiliar situation, he amazes me at his ability to observe his surroundings. By our second trip Luke was able to enjoy himself a little more, it also helped that Jacob was there to keep him entertained.

Splashing with Dad.
Just taking it all in, he must have thought there was a no smiling rule.

The next day we went back, he actually smiled that day.
Jacob joined us.

Close to walking

Luke is almost 11 months and is getting close to walking. He is still pretty cautious, but he couldn't be more proud of himself. Grandma Jeanne got him a little walker and he pushes that thing all over the house.
Walking around at Grandpa and Grandma's in Roseburg.
Just showing off, he thinks he is hot stuff.

Visiting Dad at his new fire station

There is something about boys, they are all so enamored with fire engines!
Luke loved the steering wheel.
Might as well make it a family affair.
