Odell Lake

Over Labor Day weekend we were invited to go to Odell Lake with Barb, Jonathan and my parents. It was beautiful and so relaxing, we were all in heaven. We stayed in a really neat, huge cabin and Luke and Roly (black lab puppy) had a blast together. It's always nice to get be surrounded by nature, it always puts things in perspective.

Sunriver

For our last get away this summer, we went to Sunriver with our neighbors the Piaskowskis. We had a nice break from reality and rode bikes, hot tubed and relaxed. Luke was entertained every moment and we couldn't have asked for better weather. I once again wish I would have taken more pictures, Luke loved riding behind Matt's bike in a little pull cart. We'll just have to go back and do it again soon!

Matt being a kid.

One of the few times he actually stood up.
Whoaaaaaa!
Bummer.
It's too bad for Matt that I get to choose the pictures.
I love this.
Ethan and Sophia were good sports and came and played in the toddler pool with Luke.
Sophia
This is the first time Luke actually enjoyed swimming in a pool.
Acting like quite the character on top of the slide.

We could not keep him out of the hot tub, he was a shriveled little raisin by the time we got him out.

Oregon Coast

A few weeks ago we all went to a friend's cabin in Yachats with my parents and my grandma. The sunshine was amazing and there wasn't a trace of any wind. I have recently decided I love getting away! You don't have to think about cleaning house, unfinished projects or how to entertain Luke. Although the clean up after a trip is very dreadful, but all so worth it. My mom ran around and took a million pictures for me, so it was all that more relaxing.
Wow!

Grandma and Grandpa
Roasting Smores and Bananas!
If you have never roasted bananas on a fire you should really try it, sounds weird I know, but the sugar caramelizes and it is heavenly goodness. (low in calories too)
Matt would often crouch down to be at Luke's level, in the upcoming pictures Luke started to mimic him.
Playing chase with the waves, it never got old!
Acting like Dad.

One of the best things about being a mom is that you have super human powers to fix any problem, or at least he thinks so.

Papa, Luke and three of his many cars. (the cars are smiling too!)
"Ta-da!" (lined the cars up)

Great Grandma and Papa

It's so easy to burn all that energy on the beach.

Everyone has to try sand at least once in their life.
Bad idea.
Very bad idea.
Need a little help here.
Thanks for all the fun at the beach!
